(March 4, 2018) – USA Cycling announced today the 4 athletes that will represent the United States in Cross Country Mountain Bike at the 2018 Pan American Championships in Pereira, Colombia on April 4, 2018. The Pan American Championships are held annually for member nations of the Pan American Cycling Confederation. Riders competing in the Pan American Cycling Championships are selected by their respective national governing bodies and provide another avenue for athletes to qualify for World Championships.
"We have a very strong team headed to the Pan Am Continental Championships this year. Erin Huck will be defending her title in the Elite Women’s Cross-Country race and Keegan Swenson will try to improve on his 5th place from last year in the Elite Men’s Cross-Country race. I’m looking forward to a great event from all of our riders,” said Marc Gullickson, Performance Director of USA Cycling’s Mountain Bike Program.

Automatic qualifiers are noted with an asterisk (*).
Haley Batten, Christopher Blevins, Kate Courtney and Lea Davidson also automatically qualified for the event; however, the athletes declined the invitation.
